Patrick Speech and Languages Centre has been a beacon of hope for our family. Before coming here, we struggled to understand our son’s needs and felt very isolated. The ‘Individualized Educational Plan’ (IEP) they created for him has made a world of difference. He is now communicating his needs more clearly, and our home life is much more peaceful. We are so grateful to Mrs. Akande and her dedicated team.

The Gazelle Studio is such a brilliant initiative. As my brother got older, we worried about his future and employment. Through the vocational training at the studio, he has learned sewing and packaging skills that have given him a sense of purpose and independence. It’s amazing to see a center in Nigeria focusing on the transition to adulthood for neurodivergent individuals.

I have attended several of their free therapy outreaches and conferences. PSLC does incredible work not just in their classrooms but in the community, breaking the stigma surrounding autism in Nigeria. They are making specialized therapy accessible even to indigent families through the Pure Souls Learning Foundation. A truly impactful organization.

My son started at PSLC as a non-verbal five-year-old. Through their speech and behavioral therapy, he improved so much that he was eventually integrated into a mainstream school. The transition wasn’t easy, but the foundation he received at Patrick’s made it possible. They helped him become a self-confident learner, and for that, we are eternally thankful.

We are always thankful for PSLC, its intervention and input to the development of our child. Everyone is always helpful and willing to assist in any way possible, from security personnel to Admin and teaching staff.

Patrick Speech and Language Center has continued to give support to parents and training to help support children with Special Needs, Thanks for all you are doing and a great work indeed, God’s continuous blessings on you and the entire team

I’m truly grateful to be part of Patrick Speech Family.

Their training programs have been a game changer for educators n care givers, equipping us with the skills to create loving, supportive spaces for every special needs child to strive.
Kudos to the team for inspiring a more compassionate, accessible future for learners of all abilities.

Patrick Speech & Language Centre is a place to be if you have a special needs child. I took my daughter there for summer school in August and I could see the difference in just 4 weeks.

I am overwhelmed with gratitude as I reflect on the life-changing experience my son had at Patrick Speech and Language Centre from September 2014 to July 2016. When he started, he had little to no speech, but thanks to the tireless efforts of the incredible team, he made tremendous progress and emerged with remarkable speech and language skills. The centre also worked wonders with his sensory processing disorder, resolving it to about 80%!

The individualized education plan and various therapies tailored to his needs were instrumental in his progress.

I am forever grateful to the founder, Mrs. Dotun Akande, not only for her exceptional leadership but also for her kindness in providing part-sponsorship, making it possible for my son to attend. The therapists were dedicated, understanding, and truly passionate about their work.

Their commitment to helping children with special needs is truly commendable. I wholeheartedly recommend Patrick Speech and Language Centre to any family seeking exceptional care and support for their loved ones. In fact, I have been and will continue to recommend the centre to friends, family, and parents of children with special needs, because I believe so strongly in the transformative work that they do.

My only wish is that he could go back to the centre for a little redirection on self-awareness/consciousness, being the only aspect I believe remains to be resolved. Occasionally, he struggles with feeling self- conscious, getting annoyed and putting up an attitude when he notices people looking at him. This has been corrected severally to no avail.

Despite this, I am still incredibly proud of the progress he has made. He was the head boy in his lower educable special school, sat for common entrance and progressed to upper educable 2 class in an inclusive secondary school.

I am grateful for the foundation Patrick center laid, and I’m confident that with a little more work, he’ll overcome this challenge.

Congratulations on 20 years of impacting lives.
Patrick’s speech is not only inspiring but a true reflection of the depth, consistency, and heart behind the work you have done in the special needs space over the past two decades.

Through the training and empowerment I received, I gained practical knowledge and a deeper understanding of special needs knowledge that has now enabled me to support not only my own child but also other children as a certified special needs therapist. This speaks volumes about the ripple effect of your work.

My son also benefitted directly from the school. He started with the summer school program and later joined, and the progress we witnessed was remarkable. You helped us understand him better and supported him in ways we would not have known as parents.

This is why celebrating 20 years truly matters: your work has transformed lives, empowered families, and equipped professionals who now extend that impact even further. Patrick’s speech captured this legacy beautifully. Congratulations on this incredible milestone and on the many lives you continue to touch.
