As part of our ongoing commitment to quality service delivery in special needs education and therapy, we consider it important to create awareness regarding professional standards and ethical expectations for therapists working with children. We believe that maintaining these standards is a shared responsibility, one in which parents and schools play an essential role.
Children with special needs require structured, ethical, and professionally delivered interventions. To ensure the highest standard of care, all therapists operating under our Academy are expected to adhere to strict professional guidelines, including:
· Delivering services within their area of training and competence
· Providing structured, goal-oriented, and well documented therapy sessions
· Maintaining confidentiality and respecting the dignity of every child
· Avoiding any form of physical, emotional, or verbal misconduct
· Communicating clearly and professionally with parents and schools
We also encourage schools, parents, and caregivers to actively partner with us by expecting and verifying the following from any therapist working with their child:
1. Clear therapy goals and individually tailored intervention plans
2. Regular progress updates and documented session reports
3. Consistent professional conduct and respectful interaction
4. Transparency regarding qualifications, training background, and areas of competence
5. Openness to questions about therapeutic approaches and methods
Please note that while our Academy issues certificates of participation or completion for specific trainings, these documents are not equivalent to statutory professional licensing nor do they, on their own, serve as proof of clinical competence. We therefore strongly advise parents and schools to conduct their own due diligence by engaging therapists directly, asking relevant questions, and observing sessions where possible. Your active involvement is a critical layer of accountability.
If at any time there are concerns regarding therapist conduct, professionalism, or service delivery, we encourage prompt reporting to our Academy so appropriate review and action can be taken.
